ST. LOUIS SAIL & POWER SQUADRON
RAIN GUTTER REGATTA, CHILI COOK-OFF & WASHER TOSSING CONTEST
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2010 (DATE CHANGE)
SIOUX HARBOR PAVILION - PORTAGE DES SIOUX, MO

Get yourself ready for a fun day. It’s time for the SLSPS Rain Gutter Regatta, Chili Cook-off and Washer Tossing tournament. Was last year’s boat a contender? Can you make it go faster? Is it time to toss it and get another one and try some different strategy. Now’s the time to start thinking about it. The activities begins at 12 NOON on Sunday at the Sioux Harbor Pavilion. If you’re new to this event call me or e-mail me and I can tell you how to get a boat. The racing will be double eliminations so we will have lots of races for everyone. We will be racing boats off and on in between other events going on during the day with several heats between other events.

It may not be chili weather right now but it’s time to start picking your favorite chili recipe and be ready to cook some up and bring it to the Annual Chili Cook-off. The competition is wide open to anyone who can make a good chili and share it with other members. Judging will start about 12:30. And don’t forget the other excitement. The Annual Washer Tossing Tournament will follow the Chili Cook-off. A team schedule will be set up for the afternoon.

Please let us know if you are coming so that we can plan accordingly.

Each entrant is also asked to bring a side dish (deviled eggs, etc., dessert). Please let Gus know if you are coming and what you are bringing.
